Karachi terror strike

A dastardly terrorist strike at Karachi International airport is nothing but a grim pointer to growing vulnerability of Pakistan to be engulfed by its home grown terrorism. It should serve as a wake up call for civilian dispensation in Pakistan to firm up measures and strategies that holds the key to wipe out terrorism from its territory. Its use of terrorism as an instrument of state policy to destabilize and bleed India has backfired and now emerged as a grave threat to its existence. Terror elements which were once nurtured and abetted for strategic reasons by its powerful army have now turned out to be frank stein monsters for the peace, stability and development of Pakistan. With Karachi terror strike sending an unequivocal message about the resurgence of Taliban, we cannot afford to be lax on the front of security. It is hoped Narendra Modi led government at the centre would remain vigilant and deter terror elements from playing havoc with country’s march towards prosperity and development in all spheres of governance.
